Class Descriptions
AquaFIT Water Aerobics:
Aquatic exercise is a low-impact activity that takes the pressure off your bones, joints and muscles. Water offers natural resistance, which helps strengthen your muscles. You can even do aquatic exercise if you don’t know how to swim, this class is performed in chest-deep water. All fitness levels will benefit.
Bootcamp:
I will take a few simple measurements (body fat percentage, weight, etc.) to see where you are prior to beginning bootcamp. I don’t care what the measurements show. It’s strictly for a post-camp comparison. These numbers and all other information will be held in the strictest confidence.
Each class is intentionally different to alleviate boredom. You can expect some light running/power walking, weight training, obstacle courses, core training, functional training, and stretching each week. Pilates-like and yoga-like exercises will also be included for a very well-rounded workout! It’s always an adventure, and you’ll always have fun! I will teach you a great deal about proper form and “core stability.”
You will need to bring one set of 5 – 8 lb. hand weights and any type of exercise mat. You will also want to bring water to keep yourself hydrated. All bootcamps will offer options for either taking the intensity up or down for any exercise.
CoreFIT:
A great LOW-impact, cardiovascular workout that includes strength training exercises and flexibility training. You will perform exercises that target posture, muscle control, core stability and muscular strength using alignment exercises that are adaptable for all levels of fitness and flexibility.
